  • Do I need to pay for a monthly subscription to have access control on my doors?

    For smaller access control systems, a subscription is typically not required. However, larger systems often necessitate some form of subscription or cloud-based support, which usually involves an annual fee. The specific requirements can vary depending on the manufacturer.

  • Can you maintain or repair an existing access control system?

    Yes, we can maintain and repair existing access control systems. All the locking devices, fuses, card readers and components can be replaced. On the main control boards, it depends on the manufacturer.

  • If I need to have different keys for my locks, do I need to replace the locks?

    No. If the locks are in good condition, we can rekey the lock by removing the pins and repining them so a new key works the lock. Contact our locksmith at All Secure Lock to learn more.

  • Can all my locks be keyed the same, so I only have one key?

    Yes, all of your locks can be keyed the same if they are compatible. You will know by putting a key from one lock into a different lock. If the key goes in, but doesn't turn, the two locks are compatible. If it won't go in, they are not compatible. Get in touch with our commercial locksmith to get started.

  • Does picking a lock damage a lock?

    No, if done correctly picking a lock does not damage the lock. Contact our locksmith to learn more.

  • Are locking door knobs enough security for homes and buildings?

    No. Many doorknobs can be carded open. Properly installed deadbolts are important for your security. Quality deadbolts are recommended for all exterior doors for homes and buildings. Contact us to learn more about deadbolts and access control installation that we can help with.

  • Are there differences in electronic deadbolts?

    Yes. There are electronic deadbolts and smart electronic deadbolts. The electronic deadbolts are for those who want keyless entry. There are no whistles or bells.   • Are cameras good for home use?

    Cameras are beneficial for home use, but should be limited to exterior applications for security and liability purposes. The use of cameras inside apartments or vacation rentals is not permitted.

  • Can I add a handicap access automated door opener for my business?

    Yes. But I'm not able to warranty any parts unless I provide them.

  • If my door closer is leaking oil or slamming, can you fix that?

    Yes. Often it has to be replaced, but if repair is possible, I will do it.

  • Are panic bars repairable?

    Some parts are repairable. Significant damage does require replacement.
